Train anywhere with expert programming from the Compete Sports Performance coaching staff. Our online sports performance training programs help athletes improve strength, speed, and durability while staying consistent with their training.

Programs are available for sports performance training, personal training, and post-rehab return-to-play programs.

Each remote strength and conditioning program includes:

• Structured performance programming including warm-up, core training, strength training, and injury prevention or rehab exercises
• Personalized training plans built by Compete coaches based on the equipment you have available
• Easy-to-follow workouts with progress tracking and performance logging
• Coach accountability with staff monitoring participation and progress
• Direct messaging with coaches for feedback, questions, and exercise guidance
• Workouts delivered directly through the TrainHeroic training app so athletes can train anywhere

Off-Season Hockey Training Program (Phase 1 – Strength)

This 6-week off-season hockey strength and conditioning program is designed to help players build the strength, speed, and durability needed to perform at a higher level on the ice.

Developed by Chris Phillips, former NHL Athletic Trainer and Strength Coach, this online hockey training program focuses on building foundational strength, mobility, and efficient movement mechanics that translate directly to skating power, acceleration, and injury prevention.

Phase 1 is the strength phase of a 3-part off-season hockey performance training system designed to progressively develop strength, power, and sport-specific movement before returning to the ice.

Program Structure

• 6-week progressive hockey strength and conditioning program
• 5 structured training days per week
• 2 lower body strength sessions
• 2 upper body strength sessions
• 2 speed and acceleration training sessions

What Players Will Improve

• Explosive skating power and first-step acceleration
• Lower body and upper body strength
• Rotational core strength for shooting and stability
• Mobility and efficient movement mechanics
• Durability and injury prevention for a long season
