Off-Season Hockey Training Program (Phase 1 – Strength)
This 6-week off-season hockey strength and conditioning program is designed to help players build the strength, speed, and durability needed to perform at a higher level on the ice.
Developed by Chris Phillips, former NHL Athletic Trainer and Strength Coach, this online hockey training program focuses on building foundational strength, mobility, and efficient movement mechanics that translate directly to skating power, acceleration, and injury prevention.
Phase 1 is the strength phase of a 3-part off-season hockey performance training system designed to progressively develop strength, power, and sport-specific movement before returning to the ice.
Program Structure
• 6-week progressive hockey strength and conditioning program
• 5 structured training days per week
• 2 lower body strength sessions
• 2 upper body strength sessions
• 2 speed and acceleration training sessions
